Time really does fly! HNA 2024 has come and gone – but we are still reeling from the excitement of the show. This year’s show was packed full of talent, innovation and trends.
We showcased a variety of products this year and used the show as a platform to tell the full Oldcastle APG story, featuring the family of brands in the booth, including: MoistureShield, PebbleTec, Sakrete, and Barrette Outdoor Living.

Trends: Texture and Spaces
HNA is always a prime time for us to share our thoughts on the next year’s trends, and an opportunity to receive feedback from our contractors on the floor. We showcased several products that are all part of our modularity offering. When we think of modularity, we mean: True 3″ increments for optimized pallet layouts and jobsite efficiencies, reduced cuts, installation time and waste means, styles for beautiful end results. This year we featured:
- Papyrus – our latest modular style paver with clean modern edges, with a unique face that mimics the look of hand-tooled striations and the texture of organic textiles
- Brooklyn – a modular paver with a warm tone and weathered appearance that is perfect for a variety of applications and complements rustic styles
- Basalt – this new style mimics the texture of natural hammered or flame-textured stone volcanic rock, adding visual interest to modern or rustic designs
One of our popular demonstration spaces in the booth featured our Diamond Pro Air product. Highlighted for its fast installation and lightweight design. This innovative wall block with a locator system creates a near vertical wall. Available in multiple textures and colors, this retaining wall system was a hit!
We also featured our Artforms bench and counters in this year’s outdoor kitchen, which was a crowd favorite. This space was outfitted with the top of the line Elements Home products featuring two cooking necessities for any outdoor space: 40” Gas Grill, Kamado Blue Diamond Smoker and Grill. The exact space was used as a means to demonstrate our Rooms and AR technology, as the space itself is available as a design on Rooms.
Technology: AR and Rooms
HNA is the perfect event for us to highlight the ways we support our Pros, and this year was no exception. We created a Pro Solution Center that featured our Rooms website. With Rooms, we have hundreds of pre-designed outdoor spaces that can be customized to your customers’ needs. And going even beyond the design, we have enabled augmented reality (AR) that can visualize the design in your customers’ outdoor space – helping you to close the sale. Get your customers excited about their ideal space by sending them to the site, or be prepared in your consultations and have the site ready to roll.
HNA Installer Championship
It was an exciting year for Belgard during the HNA Installer Championship as well! We sponsor a national championship NCLC, and two of our sponsored teams this year were both college students! Team 1 from BYU and Team 2 from Columbus State Community College. Watching these young men compete against seasoned professionals was truly exciting. In fact, the BYU team made it to the finals and came in third! We can’t wait to see what these teams will do in the future, including NCLC 2025!
